Consumer Product Safety Improvement Act of 2008
Compliance Letter
Thank you for your support and patronage of Peaceable Kingdom Press. We understand your concerns regarding the safety of children’s products and we are actively taking the necessary steps to be compliant with all current and pending Consumer Product Safety Improvement Act (CPSIA) of 2008 standards and regulations (H.R. 4040).
Please be assured that our products can be bought and used with confidence. Every Peaceable Kingdom Press product is tested with a certified third party laboratory to confirm it conforms to the new Consumer Product Safety Commission (CPSC) product safety rules with regards to soluble lead content, phthalates, labeling, hazardous metals, and mechanical hazards. Peaceable Kingdom Press maintains records of all tests performed.
Peaceable Kingdom Press is well aware of the CPSC timelines with regards to toy safety requirements, including the CPSC certificate program and tracking label program. Certificates of Compliance on all products produced on or after November 12, 2008 are available here.
In more than 25 years of business none of our products has been recalled. We choose our manufacturers carefully. All of our products are printed with non-toxic vegetable- or soy-based inks. Because our products are primarily made of paper, we do not have the same issues as many toy manufacturers who use small parts, painted wood, or magnets.
We are committed to offering safe, long-lasting, high-quality, enjoyable products for children and we will continue to make safety a priority by monitoring our manufacturers, testing all products by a certified third-party testing agency, and producing products that conform to the CPSC safety rules, standards, and requirements.
